Whether you’re vegan, gluten-free, lactose-intolerant or just want to experiment with off-beat recipes for the dessert-lovers at your table, consider giving these sweet treats a try.

1. 80 cal no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies

With only five minutes of prep time and an allergy-conscious ingredients list, these vegetarian, vegan, soy-free, nut-free, dairy-free, gluten-free treats pack a lot more than a load of chewy, chocolaty goodness to rave about! And if that isn’t enough, get this: Each cookie contains only 10 grams of carbs and 5 grams of sugar while boosting its nutritional value with two grams each of fiber and protein!

ingredients: ½ cup rolled oats, ¼ cup non-dairy chocholate chips, 1 large banana, 1 tsp pur vanilla extract, 1 tbsp chia seeds, 1 tbsp buckwheat groats (alternative flour substitution, optional), 1 tsp cocoa powder, sweetener

This vegan treat couples as both a breakfast and a dessert (and as a snack, why not?). Vegan blogger Angela Liddon loves it for its “intense banana flavor” combined with “sweet bites of chocolate.”  Even its texture is surprising: chewy from the oats and a light crunch from the nuts!

ingredients: 2 cups regular oats, processed into a flour, 1/2 cup regular oats (not processed), 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed firmly, 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, 1/8th tsp ground nutmeg, 1/16th tsp ground cloves (optional), 2 tbsp cane sugar (or regular white), 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp kosher salt, 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted (or other light tasting oil), 2 medium very ripe bananas, peeled, 1/3 cup applesauce, 1/4 cup almond milk, 1 tsp pure vanilla extract. Fold in: 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips; 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped; 1 ripe banana, cut into chunks

For glaze: 1 ripe banana (but not too ripe, you still want it solid!), 2 tbsp peanut butter (Angela used White Chocolate Wonderful flavor), 1/2 cup icing sugar, sifted, Pinch of kosher salt, to taste

It’s also completely raw, vegan and refreshingly simple with a small, five-ingredient list. Whether you indulge in spoonfuls of this mouthwatering treat topped with a garnish of almonds and blueberries, smeared over a batch of brownies or spread on toast, the avocado cacao mousse will be sure to knock your socks off.

This cheeseless cheesecake defies all odds: Prepared with dairy-free cream cheese and dairy-free sour cream, this simple twist on banana cream pie makes a dessert delicate enough to please everyone at the table. The vegan recipe calls for egg replacers, but feel free to use regular eggs instead.

Ingredients

For the Crust: 1 ¼ cup finely ground dairy-free graham cracker crumbs (from either store-bought or homemade graham crackers), ¼ cup white granulated sugar, 5 tbsp melted dairy-free soy margarine

For the Filling: 4 8-ounce packages dairy-free cream cheese, such as Tofutti Better than Cream Cheese, 1 1/4 cup white granulated sugar, Egg Replacer for 4 eggs (Ener-G Egg Replacer) or, alternatively, 3 large eggs, 1/3 cup dairy-free sour cream, such as Tofutti Sour Supreme, 1 T. banana extract, 1/2 cup finely chopped banana slices
